I am a Virginia Tech alum, but you are telling me I'm not.
Our registration system scans the VT alumni database and tries to match the information you've submitted with what is stored in the database. If it is not working, it is likely that the data in the alumni records is out of date. If you update your records with the Alumni Association, it will be easier for us to identify you during registration.
I just registered for a course. Now what happens?
If you are a VT alum or a returning registrant, we simply need to tell the course website to recognize your PID and password. We do this three times a day. Therefore, it will take several hours to gain access to the course. As soon as we've set the website up to authorize you, we'll send you an email that contains the URL for the course site. At that point, all you need to do is click on the link, enter your PID and password when prompted, and begin the course. You can return to the URL at any time.
If you are not a VT alum or are new to registration, the process is identical but with one additional processing step. It will take slightly longer to receive your course URL.
